Brow and lash close up after lamination and lift at Elevate Salon + Spa, Charlottesville VA

Your own lashes, lifted and defined

Plenty of people have good lashes that grow straight out or run light at the tips, so they disappear in photos and need mascara to show up at all. A lash lift changes the direction of your natural lashes, sweeping them up into a soft curl that opens the eye. A tint deepens their color, so the length you already have finally shows.

Nothing is glued on and nothing is added, which is the real difference from extensions. You are working with your own lashes, so the result looks like you on a very good morning. At Elevate you can book the full Lash Lift + Tint, a Lash Lift alone, or a Lash Tint alone, and the right choice depends on what your lashes already do well. Jessica, who lists lash lift and tint among her specialties, will help you decide.

Lash services at Elevate are performed by Jessica, who lists lash lift and tint among her specialties alongside babylights, blended balayage and long layers. You can book your lash appointment with her online or pair it with a hair visit.

  • Lash Lift + Tint

The complete treatment. Lashes are lifted and curled, then tinted for depth and definition. Choose it for light or straight lashes that need both shape and color to stand out without extensions or daily mascara.

  • Lash Lift on its own

The lift curls your lashes to enhance their natural shape. It is ideal if your lashes are already naturally dark and mostly need direction, and a tint can still be added if you want a deeper finish.

  • Lash Tint on its own

The tint deepens lash color for definition and a naturally darker look without changing the curl. It suits lashes that already lift nicely but look light or fade out at the ends.

  • A pairing with brows

Lashes and brows frame the face together, so a brow wax or tint booked with your lash service means everything around your eyes looks finished at once. The Guest Care Team can help you combine them.

More about lash Lift and Tint

What to expect at your appointment

Check in at the front desk with the Guest Care Team or on the iPad, and settle in with a drink if you like. Your appointment starts with a consultation, where Jessica looks at the length, color and direction of your lashes and talks through whether a lift, a tint, or both will get you the look you want.

You lie back comfortably with your eyes closed while your lashes are lifted, set and tinted if you chose it. Come without eye makeup if you can, and take out contact lenses first.

Aftercare and maintenance

Your lashes need a little care at first so the curl sets well. Jessica will explain how long to keep them dry and away from steam, and it helps to avoid rubbing your eyes. After that, skip waterproof mascara and oily removers around the lash line.

Lifts and tints fade gradually as lashes grow and shed on their natural cycle. When the curl relaxes or the color softens, book again; Jessica will suggest timing.

How pricing works

Pricing depends on which lash service you choose. The Lash Lift + Tint combines both treatments, while the Lash Lift and the Lash Tint are priced on their own, so your total reflects whether you need shape, color, or both. Adding a brow service also changes the total. See the Service Menu for current pricing.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a lash lift and lash extensions?

A lash lift works only with your own lashes, curling them from the base so they look longer and more open. Extensions attach separate fibers and need regular fills. A lift has no glue and nothing added, and with a tint it gives definition without daily mascara.

Do I need the tint, or is a lift enough?

If your lashes are already naturally dark, a Lash Lift alone may be enough, since the curl is what makes them show. If they are light, especially at the tips, the tint adds the depth that lets the lift be seen. Jessica will suggest the option that fits.

Can I wear mascara after a lash lift?

Yes, once your lashes have set, although many guests find they rarely need mascara, especially with a tint. Choose a gentle formula that removes easily and skip waterproof versions, which take more rubbing to remove. Jessica will tell you when it is fine to start.

Is a lash lift uncomfortable?

Most guests find it relaxing, since you lie back with your eyes closed the whole time. If anything stings or feels off, say so and Jessica will stop and check. Mention sensitive eyes or allergies at your consultation so she can plan for your comfort.

Can I book a lash lift and tint with a haircut or color?

Yes. Jessica also cuts and colors, so lashes can often be combined with a hair appointment in the same visit. Add the services when you book online, or text the salon and the Guest Care Team will help you fit everything together.
