Frequently asked questions
Will keratin make my curly hair straight?
Not permanently straight. Lasio relaxes your curl pattern significantly, so you can air dry for softer, looser curls or heat style for a straight finish much faster than before. Your natural texture returns gradually as the treatment wears off, with no harsh line of regrowth.
Why do I need to send a photo before booking?
Keratin is not recommended for hair with heat or chemical damage, so the team needs to see your hair before holding time for you. The photo helps your stylist confirm the treatment suits you and plan for your length, density and current condition.
Can I color my hair and get keratin at the same visit?
Yes, as long as your color is done first, before the keratin goes on. If you get keratin first, wait a short while before coloring. Tell the team you want both services when you book so the right amount of time is reserved with your stylist.
How long does Lasio keratin last?
The standard Lasio formula lasts several months with sodium chloride free home care, and Keratin Tropic wears off a little sooner. Saltwater, chlorine and sweat shorten results if you do not rinse promptly, and so does shampoo with sodium chloride. Your stylist will plan the timing of your next visit.
What is the difference between keratin and a silk press?
A silk press is a smoothing blowout for curly or coily hair that lasts until you wash. Keratin is a treatment that changes how your hair behaves wash after wash for several months, reducing curl and frizz. A silk press is a good way to try a sleek look before committing to keratin.
