Frequently asked questions
What does a bond treatment actually do?
Lightening and other chemical services break down some of the internal structure and proteins that keep hair strong. A bond treatment helps restore that structure, so hair regains strength, shine and elasticity and color tends to hold up better. It does not change your color or cut.
Which treatment is right for my hair?
It depends on what your hair is dealing with. Weak or stretchy strands after blonding often call for a restoration or Olaplex treatment. Dullness after color may point to Redken Acidic Bonding. Flat or uneven color can signal mineral buildup, where detox and bond helps.
Can I book a treatment on its own?
These treatments are add ons, so they are booked alongside a cut, color or blowout. If you want a longer visit focused only on your scalp, look at the Head Spa Experience, a full treatment with an analysis, cleanse, steam, massage, oil and mask.
Is a treatment the same as keratin smoothing?
No. Bond and scalp treatments strengthen and refresh your hair without changing its texture. Keratin smoothing is a separate service that reduces frizz and curl for a smoother finish. If you want both, ask your stylist how they fit together in your routine.
Do I need a treatment if my hair feels healthy?
Not necessarily. If you do not lighten your hair and it feels soft and strong, you may not need one every visit. Guests who blonde or color correct often notice the biggest difference, and your stylist will be honest about whether it is worth adding.
